Frequently Asked Questions
Is your rescue a 501(c)3? Yes. We are a tax exempt entity so all donations are tax deductible.
Is there an adoption fee? Yes. We do charge an adoption fee. It costs us over $90 just to provide the minimal vetting for each kitty (spay/neuter, rabies, FVRCP, dewormer, and flea meds).
Are you looking for volunteers? Yes. We do require a volunteer application to determine if we are a good fit for each other…but we welcome all the help! Volunteer opportunities include helping in our warehouse.
Can we foster for your rescue group? For the most part, we do not use fosters. We are finding occasional need for fosters. If you are interested in helping us, shoot us a message.
Do you adopt black cats in October? No. We do not adopt our black kittens in October! This protects our babies…and they are our babies. If you are interested in one of our black kittens, they will be available starting November 5th.
Do you agree with declawing kitties? No! This is essentially amputating the kitten’s paw. Imagine someone cutting your finger off about a quarter inch below your fingernail bed. This is what you are doing to the kitty!! We have information and website links we can share about this.
What do we do if we adopt an animal from you and it doesn’t work out? Even if it is a year or more later?? You sign an agreement with us to return the pet to us. We will ALWAYS take our pet back. We rescued them for a reason and never want to see any of our babies end up in a shelter.
Is the adoption fee refundable? No. If you back out of an adoption or need to return the animal…we don’t ask for any additional fees from you, but all funds that we take in are considered non-refundable. Because they help cover some of the cost of the pet and allow us to save and rescue even more animals.
